SCUBA VBS at D1Naz

Scuba VBS: June 10-14, 6-8 pm

At Scuba VBS children will learn how to dive into friendship with God. We will draw closer to God through music, Bible stories, games, crafts, and snacks. 

How do I register?

What ages can attend this event?

Three year olds who are potty trained up through children who have completed 5th grade may register as participants for SCUBA VBS.

Children ages 3-5 who have not yet completed Kindergarten will experience age appropriate activities in a self-contained classroom and will enjoy use of our large motor play area.

Children who have completed Kindergarten-5th grade (as of June 2024) will begin and end the night in the Kids’ Sanctuary and travel to stations in crews of 5-8 children.

What does drop-off look like?

When you arrive for Scuba VBS on Monday, you'll enter through our main doors and check-in for VBS in the lobby. 

Preschool: You'll receive your room number at the check-in table and then proceed to your classroom to meet your VBS teacher. Preschool children will be dropped off and picked up in their classrooms each night. 

Elementary: You'll receive your crew number at the check-in table and then proceed to the Kid's Sanctuary to meet your crew leader. Your crew leader will take attendance each night and give you your name tag. 

What does pick-up look like?

When you come to pick up your children, you'll stop at the check-out table before being admitted to the kid's wing. When you register, you'll provide a list of all adults who have your permission to pick up your child. Our check-out attendant will reference this list to ensure all children leave with approved adults. 

Preschool Pick-up: 7:45 pm

Becasue many of our youngest attendees have earlier bedtimes and get more restless towards the end of the night, we have an earlier pick-up time for our preschoolers. If you have children in both preschool and elementary, please pick-up your preschooler first. Once you've been cleared to enter, you can head straight to their classroom and check-out your child with the teacher in that room. 

Elementary Pick-up: 8:00 pm

Once you've been cleared to enter, please check-out your child with their crew leader in the Kid's Sanctuary. Please be sure the crew leader has been notified before your child leaves with you--we don't want to give Ms. Bethany a heart attack over missing children! 

Is there a special event on Friday?

On Friday, we will run our regular VBS schedule BUT we will have an extended closing ceremony that parents are invited to from 7:45-8:30. 

Preschool pick-up will still be at 7:45 on Friday. If you'd like your preschooler to experience the closing ceremony, you're invited to bring them into the Kid's Sanctuary and have them sit with you.
